Hills & Dales

The Hills & Dales Neighborhood was a planned development, platted on the rolling hills just north of Purdue University campus and the city of West Lafayette. Early settlers and developers considered the land undesirable due to the hilly topography, but in the 1920s the land was thought to be ideal for housing development. Young families associated with the university saw the area's potential. The Colonial Revival style is most prevalent, with quality examples of Craftsmen, Tudor Revival and French Eclectic architecture.
