The original "Asia Oriental Market" was founded in 1974 by the Lin Family from Taiwan. This was the first Asian Market in the West Lafayette, Purdue University, and Lafayette area and has served this community for 43 years. This has been a place full of happy memories, friendship, and learning. As the former owners decide to retire, the new owners are determined to carry on this market's legacy. In 2017 the market transitioned into a new era, transforming itself to the new "ASIA GLOBAL MARKET". Moving forward under the management of the Wang Family, also from Taiwan, their mission is to bridge global cultures through food. They aim to provide the Taste of Home for the immigrants living here, as well as share ethnic foods with our local community. Together with their team, they want to develop a safer and more inclusive community.
