Tailgating & Traditions

  • Breakfast Club
    A Purdue football tradition like no other. Get up early, throw on your costume (yes, really!), and hit the bars for this spirited pregame ritual that brings the campus to life.
  • Tailgating lots open eight hours before kickoff (but not earlier than 8 a.m.). Join fans grilling, tossing footballs, and showing their black and gold pride. For official tailgating rules, check out the Purdue Tailgating website. *Subject to change on weekday (Friday) games.
  • Boilermaker Crossing
    Looking for family-friendly fun? Head to Boilermaker Crossing, located between Mackey Arena and Holloway Gymnasium. Open three hours before kickoff, it features:
    • Inflatable games
    • Team meet-and-greets
    • A beer garden
    • Live entertainment
  • Team Arrival
    Line up at the corner of Joe Tiller Drive and John R. Wooden Drive to welcome the team 2 hours and 30 minutes before kickoff. High-five players and cheer them into Ross-Ade!
  • Thrill on the Hill at Slayter Center
    Don’t miss the Purdue “All-American” Marching Band perform 90 minutes before kickoff. Trivia, music, and Boiler pride take center stage on the hill!
