The Wabash Valley Astronomical Society (WVAS) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that promotes the science, hobby, and public knowledge of astronomy. They hold several events open to the general public throughout the year. Open Houses are free, public sessions for stargazing with telescopes that are usually, but not always, held at the West Lafayette Observatory (WLO) or Prairie Grass Observatory (PGO). The events normally include an astronomy-related presentation and constellation finding.
