Wabash Walls Art. > In a world that often appears chaotic, hyperactive, and driven by self-interest, the potential for meaningful connections and shared experiences within our co11111unities remains a powerful testament to our collective humanity. Amidst the disarray, we can find common ground by embracing equality. Every individual deserves respect and dignity. There is profound power in numbers, our collective efforts can create a supportive and caring environment where everyone’s voice is heard and valued. By prioritizing universal care and empathy, we can transcend the superficial divisions that separate us, fostering a community where shared experiences and genuine connections thrive. Through mutual support and understanding, we build relationships that enrich our lives and remind us of our interconnectedness, proving that even in a seemingly fragmented world, unity and compassion can prevail. > Universal [ u·ni·ver·sal ) adjective: Of, affecting, or done by all people or things in the world or in a particular group; applicable to all cases. > Power [ pow-er ] noun: The capacity or ability to direct or influence the behavior of others or the course of events. This mural was designed in partnership with Food Finders Food Bank to establish a design that properly represented their mission which is: “Providing food and connections to life-stabilizing resources when our neighbors need us most.” Not only are the breaking the boundaries with displaying Rabi’s work on the side of their warehouse but their devotion to diversity reaches through their organization. Diversity has been, and will continue to be, a fundamental principle at Food Finders Food Bank. They do not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color, marital status, sex, religion, national origin, class origin, nationality, age, physical or mental disability, military status, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Food Finders stands against racism in all its forms. Food access and racial justice go hand in hand. As an organization, they are committed to ending hunger and its root causes, including racial inequity. Together Rabi Towing and Food Finders Food Bank challenged the inequity within the art world by bringing a vibrant, powerful, and high-quality mural to the residents surrounding their warehouse. During his time painting this mural Rabi not only created a piece of thought-provoking artwork but also created a bond with the residents near by even allowing one in particular to add her own art to the wall.
