Artists: Lorie Amick and LaDonna Vohar. The Amick and Vohar theme represents Indiana heritage with a realistic looking bison with an Indiana flag draped over it and a cardinal (Indiana’s state bird) perched on the horn, named George after artist George Winter (1810-1876) who painted images of the Potawatomi and Miami Indians in the Logansport area and settlers and landscapes along the Wabash River. The Bison-tennial Bison project was organized by Indiana Association of United Ways (IaUW), statewide, in partnership with the Indiana Bicentennial Commission.
