Two wooden sculptures in the natural play area at NICHES Land Trust headquarters- Clegg Memorial Gardens. The sculptures were created by chainsaw artist Dayle Lewis, funded by the Greater Lafayette Community Foundation, and feature native Indiana wildlife.
A fun fact about the poles, all the animals featured are, or were, native to Indiana. The “were” exceptions are the black bear and bison that were removed from the state by settlers.
Please note: Directly across from the wooden poles is the ADA (American with Disabilities Act) Native Plant Garden which features a series of fused glass art pieces created by local artist Kathleen Kitch.
