Sometimes it’s difficult to find golf-related things to do, especially when the weather turns rainy or cold. That’s why I was glad to discover Net Par in West Lafayette. Instead of being stuck inside wishing I could play, I get to swing at world-famous courses through high-tech simulators, relax in comfortable lounge spaces, and grab a drink or two with friends. It’s just as fun whether I’m practicing seriously, playing a round for fun, or laughing at a buddy’s off-target shot.

Experienced players can dig into Trackman’s detailed stats to challenge themselves, while beginners will find the simulators an easy way to practice without the pressure of a real course. Visitors don’t need to worry about gear, which makes Net Par very beginner friendly. Clubs and balls are provided, and regular shoes are fine as well. Longtime employee Kirby Meeks describes the atmosphere as relaxed and welcoming, making it easy for anyone to feel comfortable stepping in and taking a swing.

Net Par uses Trackman golf simulation technology to measure details like ball speed, club speed, and spin rate. Using it feels a bit like stepping onto a high-tech driving range. Every shot is tracked instantly, with precise data and realistic visuals that make you feel like you’re playing on a real course. While it was fascinating to try the system firsthand, I wasn’t as thrilled about how clearly it revealed the areas where my swing needs improvement. Still, the top-tier technology and equipment make the experience feel premium and ensure that every customer gets the most realistic experience at Net Par.
3. Net Par is conveniently located in the heart of West Lafayette
Located near Wabash Landing at 302 East State St., Net Par is conveniently placed in a family-friendly area that neighbors a movie theater, ice cream shop, and many wonderful restaurants. It is located in a perfect spot if you are looking for a fun day to spend with friends or family. It is also right off Purdue University’s campus and is within walking distance from most spots on campus. This makes it a great activity for families or anyone who is visiting Purdue University.
4. You can join a community by getting a membership or joining a league
Net Par offers several membership options and a variety of leagues you can join, including ladies’, couples’, high school, and juniors’ leagues, among others. It’s a great way to meet people who share your interest in golf and to stay connected through regular play.
Beyond the leagues, Net Par also makes community involvement a priority. According to Meeks, the business frequently partners with local charity golf scrambles, donating coupons or memberships as prizes to support local causes.
5. Net Par offers a variety of great food and beverages

With the large bar right at the center, Net Par serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options.
