Historic Barn Venue
Newly rebuilt 110-year-old post and beam barn gives you a rustic yet glam feel. Along with the barn’s cathedral-like pitch and beautiful chandeliers is a charming historic Italianate home with soaring ceilings and separate get ready quarters and entrances for the couple. Nestled on 7 acres in the midst of country fields, this historic home and barn is in quaint rural Attica, just 20 minutes from West Lafayette and 60 minutes northwest of Indianapolis.

Our History
“Vignette Farms is situated on a portion of the original Odell farm, which was originally comprised of 400 acres in Fountain County. Built in 1865, Telemachus Odell, son of state Senator and namesake of Odell, Indiana, John Wesley Odell, built an Italianate style home, which was lovingly restored by the Opperman family during the 1970s who lived in it for nearly 40 years. The original barn was constructed around 1910.
In September, 2018, we purchased this home and were in the process of repairing some parts of the barn when it collapsed in a storm. We were also in the process of historic landmark designation. The team of craftsmen of Schwarz Barn Restoration has skillfully reconstructed the barn using the salvaged materials including the original posts and beams.
