Enjoy twelve webcasts featuring nine historic neighborhoods. Lafayette was platted in 1825 and named after Revolutionary War Hero, the Marquis de Lafayette, the City of Lafayette boasts an impressive collection of historic districts, diverse architecture and limitless leisure opportunities. There are nine Lafayette webcasts focused on eight historic neighborhoods. Each episode runs 5-7 minutes long and focuses on 4-5 different sites within the neighborhood (historic homes, museums, parks, etc.). Be sure to be on the lookout for William Digby, the founder of Lafayette, in each episode. He pops up in some of the most unusual places dressed in a planters outfit consisting of a white linen shirt, brown vest and straw hat.
