Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) is a subsidiary of Subaru Corp. and is the home of North American production for the Ascent, Crosstrek, Legacy and Outback models. SIA employs more than 6,000 associates and is Subaru’s only production facility outside of Asia. Since beginning production in 1989, the plant has increased its annual output of vehicles from 67,000 to nearly 400,000. This equals roughly half of all Subaru vehicles sold in North America. Public tours, lasting up to an hour and a half, are offered at 11 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, reservations required.
