Gene Stratton-Porter (1863—1924), a Hoosier author widely popular in the 1900’s, was a champion for conservation in the state. In this program, we’ll discuss Gene Stratton-Porter’s life and legacy and explore a modern-day conservation topic: monarch butterflies. Monarch Watch volunteer, Barb Lucas, will share about her experiences tagging Monarchs and talk about how you can support this beautiful species. Registration required.
