In the 1920s, schools, churches, social organizations, and families enjoyed the summer months for outdoor gatherings. School communities celebrated “end of the year” picnics. Churches and social organizations sponsored fellowship outings and families held reunions. Stop by the Tenant House and learn more about these summer recreation events. Try your hand at the game of croquet and pitch a horseshoe!
