A masterful musician with Midwestern roots, Kenny Broberg can thank the Hoosier State for a career boost. The pianist from Minneapolis, Minnesota, now living in Kansas City, Missouri, received the Christel DeHaan Classical Fellowship and the 2021 American Pianists Award in Indianapolis. He also inspires young music students as an artist-in-residence at the University of Indianapolis.
A Cliburn Competition winner, Broberg’s original composition “Barcarolle” was recently featured on National Public Radio. He has thrilled audiences on four different continents, but with so much time in Indiana, Broberg is a fan of Boilermaker hospitality.
