Thanks to the generous support from the family of Dr. Max Showalter, Purdue Musical Organizations annually hosts the Purdue Choral Festival!
The all-day event for high schools from around the Midwest will be held on Thursday, April 18th, 2024.
Attendees will check-in at 8 a.m. and the event will conclude with a one-hour performance at 6:30 p.m. in Purdue’s Elliott Hall of Music.
This TTBB festival is completely free of charge! Each school is responsible for transportation to and from the festival. Each student is responsible for the cost of their own meals. Students will have plenty of options for lunch and dinner including the newly renovated basement in the nearby Purdue Memorial Union.
During this all-day festival, tenors and basses will work with our talented PMO staff of seasoned music educators while they rehearse and perform in a large ensemble with other high school singers and with the members of the Purdue Varsity Glee Club.
In addition to performing three songs with the combined choirs, students will hear a performance of the Glee Club and will have the option to perform as part of their attending high school ensemble (at each director’s discretion).
The evening performance will begin at 6:30pm on campus in the Elliott Hall of Music. The show will begin with selected songs by the Glee Club, followed by any groups that would like to sing by themselves as time permits. The program will conclude with the three selections performed by the combined choirs. Each student will receive a souvenir t-shirt to be worn during the performance.
Registration for this year's Purdue Choral Festival is now open. Register by January 31, 2024!
