Weekend Update! Looking for a fun Indiana weekend getaway? Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by? Check out the endless possibilities for fun events happening this upcoming weekend in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana.
It's a weekend of celebration, and the fun starts at Wolf Park! On Saturday, May 3, from 1-5pm join in all the fun at the Wolf Park Birthday Party! Did you know all wolves, foxes, and coyotes are born in spring? All the animals’ birthdays at Wolf Park are all within a couple of weeks of each other around late April/early May, so they host one big celebration! Each animal gets his or her own tasty, wolf-safe birthday cake to enjoy. Guests will have the chance to watch as the cakes are presented to the wolves. Each animal approaches this environmentally enriched activity with his or her own special flair!
Purdue is rich in special events this weekend! The Purdue Contemporary Dance Company will perform its Spring Works 2014 Dance Concert on May 2 & May 3 at 7:30pm each evening with a matinee performance at 2:00pm on May 3. Seven new dance works will take place this year! Do not miss the inaugural Family Fun Day on Sunday, May 4 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm on the Purdue Unions front lawn. This free event will feature food, inflatables, crafts and informational tables about camps and other summer activities for children. The same afternoon enjoy the tunes of jazz music during Jazz on the Hill starting at 2:30pm on Slayter Hill!
