With the weather slowly warming up, you might be looking for to do something more "outdoorsy" this weekend. Prophetstown State Park offers their Winter Workshop Series on this Sunday, March 18! For 1.5-2 hours, starting at 1PM, you can create your own walking stick. They'll show you different methods of design for all ages! Walking sticks are wonderful tools for hiking and long walks - not to mention, they can be beautiful works of art, too! All Prophetstown workshops will be held in the Visitor Center. In the event of poor weather conditions, the workshop may be cancelled; it will not be rescheduled. To ensure there are plenty of supplies for everyone, registration is required by the Wednesday before the workshop. Looking to enjoy some theatre? The weekend at t the Long Center for the Performing Arts, The Christus Homines Drama Troupe brings their production of "Little Women"! The stage adaption of Louisa May Alcott's classic story celebrates the strength of family and the joy of caring for others. Performances will be Friday, March 16th, at 7 pm, and Saturday, March 17th, at 2 pm and 7 pm. Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 for children 3-12. Free for ages 0-2. We are also offering online ticketsales via Brown Paper Tickets.
