Enjoy beautiful art? Head downtown Lafayette this Friday, July 12, to stroll the shops and art galleries during the "Gallery Walk". Various venues will be open downtown, featuring original art, live music and refreshments. Fingers are crossed for nice weather, so visitors can enjoy the horse-drawn carriage rides. This event is free and welcomes everyone to take an evening to appreciate the diverse and eclectic artwork our city offers.
Celebrate the wonders of the Wabash River and an afternoon full of fun and excitement during the Wabash Riverfest, taking place this Saturday, July 13. The day starts with a Water Drop 5k Run/Walk, and throughout the day visitors can cheer on the teams competing in the canoe races. At noon, zoo animals from Columbian Park Zoo arrive for the enjoyment of all! Family fun entertainment includes free pony rides, a bounce house, educational/conservation booths, balloon artist Joe White, face painting, and a cornhole tournament. This is a festival not to be missed!
