Weekend Update! Looking for a fun Indiana weekend getaway? Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by? Check out the endless possibilities for fun events happening this upcoming weekend in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana. This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, (September 27-29) the Civic Youth Theatre Presents: "Antigone".  The performance features Theban Princess Antigone who buries her brother Polyneices. In doing so, she chooses to comply with the divine will that all Thebans receive below ground burials. But at the same time, she contradicts the non-burial edict that her Uncle King Creon issues regarding the exposure of the bodies of the disloyal Theban dead. Antigone is caught and sentenced to death.  So begins this Greek tragedy that examines relationships, gender roles, conscience vs. law, and pride - the great destroyer. The story is by Sophocles; adapted by David Feldshuh.
