This weekend is a wealth of fun, downtown Lafayette! On Friday night, June 20, several downtown Lafayette businesses stay open late and restaurants, retail shops and galleries host specials for children and adults. It's Third Friday, a night to take the family out and enjoy everything our downtown has to offer. My husband and I are always looking for fun, family friendly events to take our 11 month old, and this is the perfect event because we can grab dinner out and take her on a stroll through our wonderful shops!
Downtown Lafayette and the Depot Plaza come alive as the Taste of Tippecanoe reigns Saturday, June 21, from 4pm to midnight. This culinary and musical celebration for the arts features four music stages running continuously. The sounds of rock, jazz, gospel, world beats, Americana and blues & funk will fill the evening air. Enjoy a wide variety of musical styles to suit every musical taste. Savory and sumptuous offerings of barbecue ribs and gourmet wraps, homemade ice cream remove comma and all manner of international fare, from sushi to Mexican to Cajun to Thai, or even just the best pizza in town…all your tastes can be satisfied in one place! Don't miss one of Lafayette's most delicious festivals!
