Farmers Market- Please note this photo was taken in October of 2012.[/caption] Weekend Update! Looking for a fun Indiana weekend getaway? Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by? Check out the endless possibilities for fun events happening this upcoming weekend in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana. I am not sure what your plans are for the weekend, but you can find many of the staff of Visit Lafayette-West Lafayette at the Thanksgiving Market this Saturday, November 23.  We will be stocking up on all the late fall produce (that is left after the early winter snow) to serve at our Thanksgiving dinners.  We will be browsing the booths buying homemade jellies, cookies, popcorn and more.  Last year at the Thanksgiving market, there was a booth selling decorative gourds that added the perfect compliment to our harvest table. There is something fun about heading downtown all bundled up in our winter jackets, walking the cobble stone road on 5th Street, and seeing the same vendors every year sell their wares. After your visit to the market, warm up at the Harrison Band Boosters Craft Show, (located inside Harrison High School!).  Come and start your holiday shopping early.  Or if you are hosting Thanksgiving, shop for the perfect favors to give to your guests.  My mom always makes sure when she hosts parties to have a little something for everyone to take home, and the Harrison Band Boosters Club Show has over 100 vendors to choose from.  With this many vendors, the hardest part will be choosing between the bountiful numbers of items!  Also, don't miss having lunch at the Harvest Cafe.   Admission is $2.
