This Saturday, December 16, Santa visits Wolf Park! Families are encouraged to come celebrate the holiday season with the wolves. Children are welcome to help staff and volunteers decorate small evergreen trees with wolf-edible treats such as hot dogs, spam, and spaghetti. When Santa arrives, the guests can watch the excitement of the wolves and children as the “edible trees” and other treats are distributed amongst the wolves. Although the program takes place outside (since the wolves are outside), guests are invited into our buildings to warm up, have some hot chocolate and, after the tree and treat distribution, talk to Santa, who will be accepting requests. In the past, Santa has arrived by dog sled, on horseback, by convertible, and in a helicopter! Be sure to visit and see how Santa will come to Wolf Park this year!
Holiday Pops is back this Saturday, December 16! This annual Lafayette Symphony Orchestra tradition brings joy, laughter, & heartfelt warmth to the Long Center with festive classics, holiday film scores, and seasonal favorites. Musical features include Concertmaster Alfred Abel performing Vivaldi’s Winter from The Four Seasons, and Harpist Melissa Gallant playing a lovely medley of The Waltz of the Flowers and The First Noel. Special appearances by WBAA’s John Clare and the Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette make this an evening Santa himself won’t want to miss!
