This Saturday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. enjoy Wabash Riverfest. Riverfest is an annual event that brings the community together and celebrates the living Wabash River with conservation exhibits, games, activities, canoe races, a 5K and a beer garden at the Plaza. Riverfest annually draws around 5,000 participants and specifically teaches children about our most prized natural resource here in Greater Lafayette - the Wabash River - as it provides recreational focus, aesthetic beauty, and is a vital component of our economy. Wabash Riverfest will be in two locations: Tapawingo Park from 9 a.m.-4 p.m and Riehle Plaza from 12-6 p.m..
In the evening from 6 pm to 11 pm on Saturday, enjoy a night of fun at Mosey Down Main Street. Mosey is a series of street celebrations brought to you by the local artistic community. Volunteers, downtown business owners, artists and musicians come together once a month from May through September to offer a free, family friendly event that takes place right down the center of Main Street. With three stages of music, outdoor food, beer, and wine sales as well as street performers, sidewalk chalk and hand made Hula hoops, Drum circles and D.J.'s, belly dancers, and balloon animals.
