Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by? Check out the endless possibilities for fun events happening this upcoming weekend in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana. Want to watch our Mayors try their hands at wheelchair basketball? You can this Friday, March 14, during the Lafayette Spinners Basketball Team Event. The Wabash Center and the Lafayette Spinners Wheelchair Basketball Team will celebrate Disability Awareness Month with a FUNdraiser at Faith Community Center. The Spinners will take the floor at 6:30 pm for a scrimmage. At half time the Mayors will show their wheelchair basketball skills! This should be entertaining! March 11 marks the date of a new exhibit, Honky Tonk, at the Fountain Gallery, located downtown Lafayette. Honky Tonk is a collection of photographs taken between 1968 and 2010 that documents the changing world of country music and its fans.  Shot in bars, music ranches and famous venues like Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Horenstein not only shows visitors the performers on stage, but also the dedication and love the fans have for the performers and the music.  Horenstein began this project at a time when he saw the world of country music changing and wanted to capture it as it was before it turned into the big business that it is today.
