Weekend Update! Looking for a fun Indiana weekend getaway? Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by? Check out the endless possibilities for fun events happening this upcoming weekend in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana.
We love weekends in Lafayette-West Lafayette! Start your Saturday off right with a visit to the Historic Downtown Farmers Market where fresh garden vegetables, fruits, flowers, baked goods, crafts, honey, jams and jellies abound! Next, jump on the CityBus trolley to tour the Lafayette-West Lafayette area. The trolley leaves at 9:40 am and 10:40 am from Fifth and Main Streets in downtown Lafayette. A volunteer guide will narrate a 50-minute fact-filled tour of the area.
Next, make sure you head to the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette, where the exhibit, "Visions of Community" is being featured. The Art Museum of Greater Lafayette has invited citizens from their fourteen county regions to participate in a fundraising art exhibition. "Visions of Community" is comprised entirely of work created by people in the region! (Possibly, even you, if you wish to participate! They are accepting entries during the exhibition (which runs through September 8) or until they run out of frames.

Spend your afternoon browsing one of our many downtown shops and galleries that feature everything from decorative home goods, custom made jewelry, hand crafted stationary, original pieces of art, and much more. We recommend a stop at Kathy's Kandies for one of her homemade truffles or cake balls! They are delicious!
