Weekend Update! Looking for a fun Indiana weekend getaway? Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by? Check out the endless possibilities for fun events happening this upcoming weekend in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana.
It's official! It's the first year for the Tippecanoe County Historical Association's Great Gatsby Gala, taking place at the Fowler House on Saturday, April 1. Immerse yourself in the 1920s with this black-tie affair, and be sure to dress the part. Gentlemen dress is black-tie, ladies dress is elegant attire, flapper or silent screen star. The Razzmatazz & Jazz Band from Ohio will be playing Dixieland Jazz music of the 1920s. Dancers from the Purdue Ballroom Dance Club will demonstrate some of the dances of the period with the band from the Charleston and Lindy to the Foxtrot. Tickets are $125 per person or $200 per couple. Tickets include an open bar with 1920s cocktails, three courses of heavy hors d'oeuvres, a live New Orleans jazz band, period dance demonstrations, silent and live auctions, period exhibits and much more!
