Looking for a family fun event where admission is FREE?! We are excited to announce St. Boniface Germanfest is back again this year on Saturday, September 7, to entertain the masses with great entertainment, food and fun! Make sure you wear comfortable shoes to dance the night away as the Indianapolis band, PolkaBoy, will be performing. If you have never seen them perform, be forewarned you will delighted by their fast tempo, polka music which fills the night air with beautiful, light hearted notes. (You may catch a glimpse of me as I twirl on by on the dance floor! PolkaBoy's is one of my favorite bands, and nothing can keep me off the dance floor!). In addition to the fabulous music, experience authentic German food and wash it down in the beer and wine tents. A special children's area with carnival rides like a ferris wheel and merry-go-round makes Germanfest fun for all ages!
In the mood for a theatrical performance this weekend? This Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the Civic Theatre of Greater Lafayette Presents: "Still Kicking". This two-act comedy with dramatic moments will have you laughing in your seats, and then straightening up as drama unfolds. The show highlights the story of Lily, a troubled teen, and her time “volunteering” at a local retirement community. Through her time with the “residents” she develops a deeper understanding of life, people and herself.
