Do not miss the last Gallery Walk of the season this Friday, September 19! In historic downtown Lafayette, the local arts community collaborates with downtown businesses to highlight the arts and culture in the region. A Friday evening may be filled with a night out for dinner at your favorite restaurant, a leisurely stroll from one Gallery Walk location to the next, where artwork, music, and occasional complimentary beverages or hors d'oeuvres may be sampled. Special exhibitions taking place are the following: Tippecanoe Arts Federation Gallery Reception for A Quilted Narration of Gaelic Folklore and Beyond, Quilted Art by Leanne McGiveron and Heather Vanderkleed, I Arrange My World, Prints, Painting, Mixed Media by Lisa Parish Parker & Ahead of the Curve, Mixed Media and Wood by Anita and Bill Krug. Artisits' Own Reception for Landscapes in Paint and Pixels By: Glenn Chang and Sandy Daniel exhibit. Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, 21 mark the last guided tours of the year at the Haan Mansion Museum of Indiana Art. Visit each room with Bob and Ellie Haan to share stories about the mansion and its contents. You'll find massive, museum-quality antiques and major paintings by historic Indiana artists including TC Steele, Wm Forsythe, George Winter, EK Williams, Ada Shulz and many others. Also get a sneak peek at part of the ceramics collection. Tours are at 10 am and 1:30 pm on Saturday and 1:30 pm on Sunday. (October tours that focus on ceramics and November Holiday tours will be walk-through tours with docents in each room.)
