Looking for a fun Indiana weekend getaway? Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by? Check out the endless possibilities for fun events happening this upcoming weekend in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana. Are you an adventurous person? Like to take on one of the kind dares? Then you need to participate in Dare to Bear (Polar Bear Skate Night) at Riverside Skating Rink on Friday, February 6.  Put on your swimming suit (YES, WE SAID SWIMMING SUIT IN THE DEAD OF WINTER) and ice skate OUTSIDE around the icy rink! The only rule is skaters must skate one lap in swimming suit to get commemorative button. Thankfully, cocoa and pizza will be on hand to warm up those daring enough to take on this challenge!! Prefer to stay inside in the warmth and comfort of heat?! Head downtown Lafayette to the Long Center for the Performing Arts for the annual Lollipop Concert on Friday, February 6. It is a fun-filled evening for the entire family! Join the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra for an engaging and interactive experience with real, live orchestral instruments at their Instrument Petting Zoo! They are rosin up the bows so you can take a shot at the violin and the cello. Don't forget to put on your jazz hands and try out the saxophone, talk with some brass players, and make beautiful music! Stay for the LSO's performance of "Music, Music, Everywhere!" from Richman's Picardy Penguin Series, and learn how music is part of our everyday lives.
