Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by? Check out the endless possibilities for fun events happening this upcoming weekend in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana. The spring semester is coming to end at Purdue University soon, and this weekend is full of fun activities all over campus and our two great cities!  Check out the amazing possibilities from wine tasting, to racing, to listening to our favorite Purdue musical groups end the season on a musical high note. On Friday, April 19, sample a choice of over 100 wines, micro brews, and imported beers along with food samples, door prizes, raffles and more at Wines on the Wabash!  This evening of food and fun is taking place at the Purdue Memorial Union. All weekend long the Purdue Bands Showcase will be sending the season off in high musical style at Elliott Hall of Music at Purdue University.  The season-ending concert for Purdue Wind Ensemble & Symphonic Band takes place on Friday, April 19.  The following evening, the Varsity Collegiate and Concert bands will perform their final night of music.  The last performance for the weekend will be performed by the Philharmonic and Symphony orchestras on Sunday, April 21, in the afternoon. Looking for more musical entertainment?  The Purdue Musical Organization  has two fabulous events this weekend!  On Saturday, April 20, the "Purduettes Spring Spectacular" season-ending concert will be held at the Long Center for the Performing Arts. The music doesn't end there as the Purdue Bells, University Choir, Heart & Soul and All Campus & Community Chorale perform the following day, Sunday, April 21, at Loeb Playhouse at Purdue. Last, but definitely not least, the sporting event of the season is finally here, on Saturday, April 20!  Purdue Grand Prix, "the greatest spectacular in college racing," brings together over 50 student entries. Come watch the action as students drive their karts at record speeds (well, as fast as a go-kart will drive!) and cheer on your favorite team!
