It is back again this year; Amazing Race Lafayette - West Lafayette! Are you ready for adventure? Join everyone for an urban adventure race - Amazing Race Lafayette - West Lafayette Season 3. The race is a chance to enjoy, explore and engage in the community. Two person teams will race in "heats" from destination to destination, completing tasks and challenges throughout the area and one successful team will be deemed champions. The race will take place on foot and on the CityBus Trolley. The group putting on the race call the event a “Hilltop to Hilltop Urban Adventure Race” and also like to say, “where strong minds beat strong legs!” To top it off, prize packages are valued at over $1,000 this year! Join in the fun this Saturday, June 1.
Looking for an evening of great music? Look no further than a concert by the Bach Chorale Singers at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church on Saturday, June 1. "Voices of America" showcases the history of music in America representing a colorful mosaic of styles and genres. From settings of familiar folk songs like "Shenandoah," "Black is the Color of My True Love's Hair" and "Polly Wolly Doodle" to the diverse legacy of the African-American spiritual, including "Wade in the Water," "Steal Away," and "The Gospel Trio from classical American composers such as Randall Thompson and Aaron Copland to Indiana composers James Mulholland and Herman Whitfield III...this summertime concert promises to touch every heart as we are reminded of how blessed we are to live in the great country of America the Beautiful.
