It's back for its second year! The 2nd Annual Purdue Boilermaker Half Marathon, taking place Saturday, October 19! Participants will start at the home of Purdue Boilermaker football, Ross-Ade Stadium, and will meander through the Purdue campus and the cities of West Lafayette and Lafayette. The course will highlight many of the more popular sites among our two cities in addition to the Purdue campus. Come out and cheer on runners and walkers as they take on this challenging course! My cousin, Jason, ran it last year, and he shared the most challenging area of the race is the last few miles running up the steep hills back into West Lafayette. But he loved it and is coming back again this year to take on the mini!
Head a little north of Lafayette-West Lafayette to Adam's Mill for some Halloween fun this Saturday, October 19. Each year around Halloween, the Mill is decorated and becomes a haunted, scary place. Be prepared to be scared as you tour the ghostly three floors of the Haunted Adams Mill. Your spine will tingle with fear as you take in the site! Head outside where tractor-drawn hayrides will take you through the haunted forest and then down to the warm campfire. Warm drinks and other treats will also be available to visitors with enough courage to tour this scary attraction!
