Coming this Friday, September 23, the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette will be exhibiting the 1st Indiana flag. In conjunction with the state's 200th birthday, the Indiana Historical Bureau has agreed to lend the flag to the museum in recognition of it being part of ArtSmart: Indiana for thirty years, a program that brings art and history to Hoosier classrooms and communities. The museum will celebrate with a free public reception at 6:30-8:30 on September 23 as well as with the opening of another exhibit, Indiana Artists: Bicentennial Members Exhibition in the East and McDonald galleries. Please note the Indiana Flag will be on display from September 23 – November 13. Spend your Sunday afternoon relaxing and enjoying local art at Art on the Wabash on September 25.  This annual local juried artist fair features artists from a 15 county area offering pottery, glass, paintings, carvings, jewelry and more.
