Savor mouthwatering sweets and the poetry and music of love as the Lafayette Chamber Singers explore the delicate, whimsical and dramatic moods of love through the centuries through the bubbly mix of classical and pop melodies. Where? Enjoy a "Valentine's Afternoon Delight" at Duncan Hall on February 10. Singing starts at 3 p.m.!
Paint your own porcelain hearts or sew a softer one for that last-minute valentine or make it an activity with your joy of joys during "Make and Take Heart Day". When? This Saturday, January 11 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Grateful Heart Gallery and Gifts. Prices range from $2-$20.
Smooch! A hug and a kiss for your best-stuffed friend can be found at this Valentine's Day storytime at the Downtown Tippecanoe County Public Library on February 14. Come for "Stories of Love and Friendship" and then make a craft together. All ages are welcome. Event take place from 6:30 p.m.-7 p.m.
This Valentine's Day, melt the heart of the one you love with a Singing Valentine delivered by the students of Purdue Musical Organizations! Singing Valentines are $30 and include a song, rose, cookie and personalized card. They sing all day, February 14, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
"An Evening of Romance" awaits you this year on February 16 at the Four Points by Sheraton. Purdue Jazz Band's annual Valentine's celebration features music for dancing in a candlelit atmosphere with a dessert buffet. Purdue Musical Organizations' Bill Griffel is the featured vocalist. The romance starts at 8 pm and ends at 10:30 p.m. Tickets cost $20 each.
Say "I love you" with a singing Valentine, performed by The Tippecanotes Chorus. Surprise your sweetheart, men included at their workplace, home or in a restaurant, with a love song and a rose. The singing is all day long from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on February 13 and 14.
