Weekend Update; Arts and Entertainment!  Looking for a fun Indiana weekend getaway? Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by? Check out the endless possibilities for fun and relaxation happening this upcoming weekend in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana. Theater lovers, this is the weekend to visit Lafayette-West Lafayette as 2 wonderful performances are taking place.  In Lafayette, this Friday, Saturday and Sunday (January 25-27), you are welcome to enjoy the production of "Arcadia" at the Civic Theatre. This brilliant play moves smoothly between the centuries and explores the nature of truth and time, the difference between classical and romantic temperaments, and "the disruptive influence of sex on our life orbits the attraction Newton left out." On Sunday, January 27, take the family out for an afternoon of laughs at "How I Became A Pirate" produced by the Omaha Theater Company at Loeb Playhouse located on Purdue Campus.  Shiver Me Timbers! Young Jeremy Jacob is digging in the sand at North Beach when he is greeted by Captain Braid Beard and his mates and recruited to help find the perfect digging spot for their treasure. In turn, Jeremy shares with them what a typical kid's day is like and the wondrous game of soccer.  We recommend bringing the kids to the pre-show at 2:00 p.m. to create and color their own pirate hats!
