Greyhouse Coffee is a spot loved by many Purdue students and visitors. Being one of the only local coffee shops around Purdue campus, this restaurant attracts long crowds and hungry students. After being closed for a short couple of months for major renovations, Greyhouse re-opened its doors in March of 2018.
I was able to check out the inside of Greyhouse for myself and it is truly stunning. They added more setting options, a brand new ordering station with a central location and a welcoming design. They still offer their classic lattes, teas and crepes but make sure to check then out in the coming weeks for the addition of gourmet donuts. My go-to drink at Greyhouse is the Masala Chai latte with almond milk. The caffeinated drink is a good alternative to drinking coffee, with spices like clove and cardamom that isn’t too sweet!
Greyhouse Coffee is conveniently located at 100 Northwestern Avenue, right on the corner of a multitude of restaurants in the West Lafayette area. Although they are known for their amazing coffee and lattes, they also offer a variety of tea options and smoothies. For food, they offer crepes, cakes, macaroons and gelato. They are known around campus for their variety of sweet and savory crepes, offering both regular and vegetarian options like the rooster crepe which is a local favorite!
During the warmer months, Greyhouse has outdoor seating. The renovation introduced some new indoor setting space as well to accommodate the students and guests who wish to study or sit and enjoy a drink on a chilly day. They are conveniently open from 7 AM and close at 12 AM; during some holidays, hours may change.
Make sure to stop on over and check out the new renovation for yourself! Purdue University Student and Visit Lafayette-West Lafayette Intern, Natalie, shares this blog. For more information about Greyhouse Coffee and other coffee shops in our area, visit HomeOfPurdue.com.
