You might not know about Parkway Pizza and Subs, but you should! It’s kind of tucked away behind Lindo Mexico on Sagamore Parkway. Once you find this treasure, you’ll be glad that you did!
Upon entry, the first thing I noticed was the absolutely delightful aroma of flavors! This place has an extensive menu, so there’s certainly something for everyone to enjoy. This place has everything from pizza and burgers, to a pretty full Mediterranean menu as well! All of us were so excited about the options that we nearly forgot to order a pizza. Thank goodness Kay took notice and switched it up.
Linda was immediately taken by the board near the register and followed her heart with the chicken kabob. It’s marinated chicken breast, marinated onion and parsley mix, and served with rice, salad, pita and tzatziki.
Iseral ordered the meat lovers calzone. The made fresh-daily dough encases pepperoni, sausage, bacon, mozzarella, and pizza sauce. You also get to choose a dipping sauce if you like to party.
Ken opted for the gyro sandwich, and he made that wonderful combo with a drink and fries! Traditional in nature, with gyro meat, tomato parsley mix, and tzatziki, it really slapped. We were all very excited to see how the gyro sandwich panned out! That thing was stunning. It was really hard not to snatch it off his plate, but lucky for him they brought my sandwich juuuust in the nick of time. You’re safe Ken, for now….
Once Kay realized that nobody had ordered a pizza, she team hopped from the falafel sandwich to a Hawaiian pizza. Poor thing thought nobody would like it and she wouldn’t have to share. Hah! Wrong group, lady. Holy cannoli that pie was on point! The blend of ham, pineapple, mozz and bbq sauce was heaven on a thin and crispy crust.
Tetia was strongly recommended the lamb kabob, and she obliged. Apparently it comes with a half gallon of absolutely gorgeous side salad, rice, pita, and tzatziki. This place knows a thing or two about presentation! With each delivered platter, we were all beside ourselves with glee!
Jerry wowed us all with the chicken bacon pasta. It was wreathed with breadsticks which got us all excited. Under all of the cheese was grilled chicken, fettuccine with bacon, mushrooms, and also sauce.
Jo also got a ginormous salad with her falafel and tzatziki! This genius chopped up the falafel and added it to her salad! The vibrancy of the colors on that bad boy took my breath away, for serious.
I locked eyes with my shawarma from afar and I just knew it was meant to be. It was elegance redefined. From now on, I’ll be wrapping myself in pita for any formal events. It’s really the only way. The juicy thighs of that chicken were spiced to the nines and topped with tomato parsley mix and tzatziki. If you’re a fry king like myself, you are guaranteed to love these crispy crunchers. And as for myself, the condiment queen, I was so happy to take every single thing for a swim in my side of tzatziki sauce.
While visiting with a random stranger, we overheard a frequent flyer proclaiming that they come here all of the time and have never had anything they didn’t like! What a review!
When you come here, you really need to bring an appetite and some homies because they do not mess around with the portion sizes! Everything was seriously so so good, and there was just so much of it. You know it’s good when a silence falls over the table as we usually never shut up except when we’re gobbling away.
Once we were sufficiently dying of gluttony, the absolutely darling server showed up with platters of cinnamon bread. It’s warm, gooey, sticky, and finger lickin’ good! If you want to gorge yourself on the inner workings of a cinnamon roll, please do not skip this last step. It’s so important.
I give this joint a 100/10. Mind blowing goodness all around. Wow. Wow. Wow.
