Weekend Update!  Looking for a fun Indiana weekend getaway?  Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by?  Check out the endless possibilities for fun and relaxation happening this upcoming weekend in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana.
It's a weekend of musical arts!  Enjoy a night of music this Saturday, September 29, at the "Rock Out for Autism: Cornerstone Fall Festival".  This special event takes place at the Long Center for the Performing Arts and is a concert event to celebrate the lives touched by Autism. The money raised will benefit children & families affected by Autism in Indiana. The musical line-up is full of favorites that include the Clayton Miller Band, Roman Candle, Keegan Dewitt and the Wild Cub.  There are so many great activities planned around this fall festival that include Ride for Autism taking place Saturday morning and Family Fun for Autism taking place Sunday morning.  Please make note the Boilermaker Special will be making a stop and giving kids and adults a fun ride during Family Fun for Autism. More musical entertainment takes place at the Rohrman Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday evening.  Our own Lafayette Symphony Orchestra is traveling to perform "LSO Out of Town".   The Orchestra will welcome selected local high school musicians to perform side-by-side with their principal players and will feature the winners of the 2012 Keller Competition, Jeff H.S. Varsity Singers, and much more!   It is so rewarding to know we live in an area that embraces our youth to take part in the arts and to be able to learn from our masterful musicians that have years of knowledge and experience.
