O'Rears has personally been a staple in all of our family dinners and holidays through the years. They have homemade yeast rolls that are flaky and fresh, and with the addition of my mom's homemade strawberry jam; they are the perfect complement to a delicious meal. My mother always stops on her visits to Lafayette to pick up a few dozen. She even freezes them, and with a quick 5 minutes in the oven on low, they taste as fresh as ever! If my dad is lucky, she will surprise him with a turtle brownie that he shares has the perfect blend of caramel, chocolate and pecans and is delightfully sinful! Sometimes my mom will even make a quick stop at our house in West Lafayette, and drop off an Oreo bar for my husband, who would probably give up any food item except his Oreos. (He is so spoiled!)
