Happening Now!  Right now the locals are talking about Chumley's, a local pub that offers 50 beers on tap and 101 bottled! The NCAA Final 4 competition is taking place this weekend and fans are ready to cheer and holler as 4 teams fiercely battle to take home the 2012 NCAA Tournament trophy.  We all have our brackets ready to see not only which team wins, but who will win our own personal bracket competition people participate in throughout the whole United States.  Two years ago, (and you may think I am crazy, my husband thought I was), I choose Butler versus Purdue as my final 2 teams.  I am an Indiana girl, through and through, and I always choose Indiana teams.  Sadly, Purdue did not make it to the final round, but Butler did!  And I got 2nd place out of 30 competitors!  I can always count on my Hoosier basketball! This year, sadly no Indiana teams are in the competition, but we are still excited to watch this annual event.    When it comes to watching college basketball, I am not sure which is more important, good food or a large flat screen TV to watch the game.  Thank goodness for Chumley's, which is the perfect place, not only to watch, but to eat delicious food and drink.  It has huge flat screen TV's along every wall!  There is literally not a bad seat in the whole place.  And visitors can enjoy their pub grub, including over 20 different gourmet burgers, delicious appetizers and pizza.  As an adult that still feels like a kid, my favorite is their mac 'n' cheese burger.  They take a big, juicy burger and add Kraft mac 'n' cheese to it.  It not only taste great, but it makes me feel young!  One of my co-workers shared Chumley's is her favorite pub in town.  She quotes, "I really like Chumley's because of the atmosphere. It's an easy place to socialize and have a drink with friends. I enjoy their beer selection and their queso is amazing!" As my husband would say, "Beer in hand,  burger in the other, and college basketball on a big flat screen TV, how could life be any better!" Chumley's is the place where life is at its best.  The atmosphere is fun and laid back and the servers are friendly and upbeat. Whether you are looking for delicious dining, interesting attractions and shops, enticing events or home away from home lodging—a getaway to Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana, is sure to satisfy.  For more information about this restaurant and others in the area, visit our website at www.HomeOfPurdue.com.
