[caption id="attachment_235" align="alignright" caption="The John Myers Pedestrian Bridge"][/caption] Looking for a fun weekend getaway? Or are you a local looking for entertainment close by? Check out the endless possibilities for fun and relaxation happening this upcoming weekend. In Lafayette this Friday, November 11 through Sunday, November 13, check out the performance Love Letters by A.R. Gurney.  Take a good, heartwarming story, add two interesting characters, then take away all the typical theater effects and what do you have? Love Letters by A.R. Gurney. This unique, moving play focuses on the special life-long relationship between a man and a woman, as shown solely through the reading of their love letters to one another.  The theatrical experience takes place at the Lafayette Civic Theatre. West Lafayette this weekend offers a wealth of Boilermaker cheer.  Friday, November 11 join loyal fans at the John Myers Pedestrian Bridge as we rally with the team before the Boilermaker home football game taking place on Saturday vs. rival Ohio State.  This event is lead by "special marshals", a Purdue pep band, Purdue Pete, Purdue cheerleaders, and the Boilermaker Special. The football team will cross the bridge to the cheers of young and old. Weekly marshals, chosen from local youth groups, will huddle with the team and join the walk across the bridge.   In addition, on Friday our Purdue Men’s Basketball Team takes on Northern Illinois and on Sunday our Purdue Women’s Basketball Team takes on IUPUI.  It is a sporting weekend for all!
