One of my first wedding memories was sharing in my fourth grade teachers' wedding celebration at Judi's Catering. My teacher decided to invite one boy and one girl from her class to attend. She chose to pick a name out of a hat to select the winner and I felt so excited to have won. The winners and their families were invited to her wedding ceremony at a local church and the reception at Judi's Catering.
This day was full of excitement and cheer as my teacher walked down the aisle at a beautifully decorated church, said her "I do's" to her handsome husband and then officially became a Mrs.! With the church ceremony over, the real party started at Judi's Catering! I remember walking into Judi's Catering and stopping and staring at the gorgeous decorations, which were a mix of winter white and silver flowers and centerpieces. One corner was a cocktail area and it was the first time I had ever seen an ice sculpture, which had Champaign running through it. We took our seats and awaited an evening of fun and laughter. The dance floor was hopping all night long and the guests left plenty satisfied from a deliciously catered meal.
I have been back to Judi's Catering for other weddings, meetings, and auctions, but this memory is special because there seemed to be magic in the air that night. It may be the 9 year old child in me talking, but it was a fabulous venue and an evening worth remembering.
Judi's Catering has been in business for 32 years and is an individually owned and operated catering and banquet facility in Lafayette.
