Mary Lou Donuts is a Lafayette staple in the donut business. They offer every donut imaginable from the bear claw to coconut crunch to cream horns. This donut shop has been a breakfast favorite of my family's since I was a little girl. I now have a little one and a trip to Mary Lou's is a special treat for our family.
Last year, my sister and her family moved back to Indiana from Arizona. My parents hosted them for a few weeks, and every weekend I would take a box of donuts up to Chalmers where they live. It was so comical and fun to watch as everyone ran around the kitchen table to pick and grab their favorite donut. My two older nephews would jump up and down with excitement on their selections. It is crazy what food will do to one's family!
