A few years ago, I wrote a blog about hosting a holiday party where we had friends coming in from Chicago and Indianapolis to attend the Purdue Christmas Show and spend the weekend having holiday fun in Lafayette-West Lafayette. I wrote the blog prior to the weekend. I want to share now how much joy we had! Everyone came all dressed up for the holiday season in their new, beautiful dresses and suits and ties. We ladies wore our best high heels, had our faces all made up, and our hair beautifully arranged. We were prepared for a lovely night of music, and we had this and more at the show. I remember getting to Elliott Hall of Music and there was such a vibrant feel to the air. It was excitement and pure happiness from everyone attending. When the first sound of music started, we were on the edges of our seats. Then for the next 2 hours we listened and enjoyed. The evening went by so fast! I feel like in the blink of an eye it was over! It's hard for me to even explain in words what a truly special evening we had. The music and entertainment were electrifying and put all of us in a wonderful holiday mood.
What comes to your mind when we mention Purdue Christmas Show? Bells jingling, voices singing, music jamming, holiday cheer abounding? All of the above comes to my mind! What is your special memory about this show? From the sweet sounds of holiday classics to the robust music of new, jazzy songs, this is a night one will never forget.
