2 Great Festivals, 1 Great Weekend Update!  Looking for a fun Indiana weekend getaway?  Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by?  Check out the endless possibilities for fun and relaxation happening this upcoming weekend in Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana.
Start your weekend off right, by attending the annual "Starry Night Music Festival" at Purdue University, Friday, September 21 at 6:30pm!  This street festival is heavy on music, art, social issues, conversations and a really good time. This year the line-up includes nationally touring bands, Farewell Flight and Deas Vail, along with some great regional acts.  While you listen to the energetic music, you can browse a wide variety of art and goods, available for purchase, including caricatures, funky clothes & jewelry, sculptures made from appliances, coffee, music, and more.  The best part is the awesome festival if free! [caption id="attachment_2222" align="alignright" caption="Feast Food"][/caption] This Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23, is a time to enjoy history, culture and wood smoked, authentic food at the annual "Feast of the Hunters' Moon"!  The Feast brings thousands of participants to the banks of the Wabash River to re-create the annual fall gathering of the French and Native Americans which took place at Fort Ouiatenon, a fur-trading outpost in the mid 1700s. The weekend is truly a feast for your senses.  As soon as you arrive you smell the wood smoke and hear the sizzle of food being roasted.  Your senses will burst as the blasts of the rifles periodically go off.  The Feast of the Hunters' Moon is celebrating 45 years of re-enactments, so do not miss all the fun!
