Right now the locals are talking about East End Grill, Lafayette's newest restaurant serving modern with a twist fare ranging from chopped salads, to burgers & sandwiches and the best steaks and seafood available.
If you are looking for delicious food in a warm and inviting environment, East End Grill is the place for you. Since opening earlier this year, my family and I have visited this restaurant too many times to count. The food is just fabulous!
For lunch I highly recommend their cheeseburger and Caesar salad with their house cut fries as an appetizer. The burger is an 8oz prime beef patty topped with crispy pancetta, smoked cheddar cheese, tomato, pickle and baby greens. The heirloom tomatoes that top the burgers are so fresh and juicy. The house cut fries are one of the best I have ever eaten. The fries are sprinkled with spring herbs, truffle oil, and grana padano cheese. They come with a homemade dipping sauce that is perfection.
Steak and seafood is the main staple at this downtown Lafayette restaurant, and I suggest ordering their shrimp and grits and/or a juicy steak for dinner. The shrimp and grits is filled with creamy cheddar grits, succulent shrimp, Smoking Goose tasso ham, roasted red peppers and green onions. One item you MUST order is their Brussel sprouts. Yes, that is correct, Brussel sprouts! They are cooked with their pancetta in some sort of glazed sauce that is to die for. Truthfully, I like vegetables, but I am not one that usually orders them out. But this side dish is amazing.
Service and ambiance rock at East End Grill. Not only is the food something to write home about, but the servers create a really special experience for the guests. Ask about any item on the menu, and they will share the highlights of the dish. The servers are welcoming with a friendly smile and really create a nice experience. There is a very urban feel to this restaurant, but new sound baffling has been added to calm the noise to a lower level. East End Grill also features a cozy bar and a private room that seats up to 20, perfect for entertaining business clients or special occasions with close friends.
Make sure you visit East End Grill on your next restaurant adventures in Lafayette-West Lafayette. It will sure to be added to your favorites list!
