In Lafayette-West Lafayette, Indiana, this Saturday, July 21, get your dancing shoes on for Dancing in the Streets! This event has it all; three stages of live music, classic car show, cruise-in and more. Kids can enjoy the Kids Corner at Tapawingo Park that will feature games, rides, moonwalks, an obstacle course, and best of all, karaoke. The Car and Motorcycle Cruise is a favorite of many as classic cars and motorcycles are driven downtown for everyone to admire. Our family always takes a vote to choose our own family favorite! The best part of the evening, is the dancing! With over ten bands playing on three different stages, there is something for everyone!
It's that time of year again; county fair time! This Saturday, July 21, is the first day of the Tippecanoe County 4-H Fair. This eight day event offers visitors a chance at the following; enjoy 4-H displays/projects created by our local children and young adults, check out animal competitions where kids showcase their livestock, scream and laugh on carnival rides and eat delicious, (usually deep-fried) fair food. My favorite part of the fair is the Queen Contest, which takes place the first night of the fair, Saturday, July 21, where young ladies compete to represent Tippecanoe County as their queen.
