Or do you live in this area and are looking for entertainment close by?  This is the weekend we have been waiting for in Lafayette-West Lafayette because it is full of exciting, entertaining festivals that will bring joy and laughter to so many people. Get a preview of the 46th Feast of the Hunters' Moon at this year's Feast Sampler taking place this Saturday, August 24 from 1 to 5pm.  Visitors will enjoy hands-on family activities, discover the Native American Village, explore the Blockhouse trading post, and talk to voyageurs to learn about life on the rivers in the 1700s.  Come learn about 18th-century crafts such as blacksmithing and tatting. There will be quiet relaxing music from the Dulcimers Gathering and loud marching music with the Tippecanoe Ancient Fife and Drum Corps. This is a great way to be outside with friends and family and learn about local history. Admission is free and open to the public. [caption id="attachment_3823" align="alignright" ]Beers Across the Wabash Beers Across the Wabash[/caption] After an early afternoon of "feast" tasting, join in the festive fun during the Beers Across the Wabash Brewfest taking place from 1-5pm at the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge.  30 Indiana Breweries will be serving ales and lagers for the crowds of people to taste and compare the aromas, textures, and hops.  The festival started in 2012 and was acclaimed a great success and is back again to satisfy the masses!  Tickets are $35/person. [caption id="attachment_3824" align="alignright" ]Uptown Jazz & Blues Festival Uptown Jazz & Blues Festival[/caption] The day isn't complete without putting on your dancing shoes and heading a few blocks east of the John T. Myers Pedestrian Bridge to the Uptown Jazz & Blues Festival.  From 5pm to midnight, local, regional and national touring acts will perform on 3 different stages, and local breweries and eateries will be serving their special signature items.  The night is filled with laughter and a sense of great happiness as visitors enjoy the serenity of lovely music, camaraderie with others, and delicious food.  Advance tickets are $10 and same day tickets are $15.
