Let's celebrate! It's the holiday season! It's been a bit of a wild year but we are excited to embrace this magical time in our community. We are happy there are activities and special events taking place. They may look a little different due to COVID, but our community has found safe ways to still create holiday magic!   1. Local Christmas Displays in or near Greater Lafayette
  2. McCord Candy Shop Tours
    • Includes a 30-40 minute tour where you get to see what it takes to make a candy cane. Each person will get to create their own candy cane shape to take with them which is included in the price. No reservation necessary - just show up, get in line and be ready to have some fun! Please note to dress warm for open tours as visitors will line up outside their 6th Street door, thus allowing space to be socially distant.
  3. 2020 Christmas Open House at Linden Depot Museum
    • Come see the progress on the full-sized replica of an 1837 Norris 4-2-0 steam engine. Linden Depot Museum Ornament with donation of $10 or more. Train-related gifts available in the museum store!  
  4. Santa at the Tippecanoe Mall 
    • Lights. Camera. Santa! Call mall for hours and/or check website to reserve your spot. Due to COVID-19, there will be certain regulations and rules in accordance to health and safety. 
  5. Holiday events at The Farm at Prophetstown
    • Get in the holiday spirit and join everyone at The Farm as they decorate the house for the season during Holiday on the Farm. Enjoy music, hot chocolate, cookies and popcorn.
    • Learn how to make beautiful ornaments from real eggs during their class, Egg Oranments.
  6. Living Nativity
    • For the 30th year, Faith Church will present, the Lafayette Living Nativity. Guests will drive their own cars, while listening to the narration in the comfort of their own vehicle.  
  7. Tis the Season 3.1 -Ugly Sweater Walk & Run
    • Join in the festive fun for the 2020 'Tis the Season 3.1 | Ugly Sweater Walk & Run, the ONLY Lafayette 5K to finish down historic Main Street! This is sure to get you into the holiday spirit. Local food vendors, holiday shoppes, and a visit from Santa await you at this memorable event.

  9. Donuts with Santa Claus - CANCELLED DUE TO COVID-19
    • Join Santa and his helpers for breakfast, holiday crafts and games. Write a letter to Santa and grab a picture with him before he heads back to the North Pole. Due to COVID-19, there will be certain regulations and rules in accordance to health and safety. Click here for details.
  10. Christmas at the Haan Museum
    • Transport you and your friends to a wonderland filled to the brim with holiday decorations, lights, Santas, trees, and more, all on a tour of the Haan Museum!
  11. 7th Annual Holiday Maker's Market
    • Browse Indiana Handmade makers selling their wonderful handmade items and unique gift items. There will be live music, special giveaways and gifts for shoppers, hot cider, food trucks and more.
  12. Here comes Santa Claus!
    • Santa is taking time out of his busy schedule to visit Richelle in a Handbasket. Visit Santa, find out if you are on the naughty or nice list, and take free picture with him. You can even get a free print from Camera Outfitters!
  13. Santa Express Tour
    • The North Pole shared Santa will be visiting Greater Lafayette neighborhoods as part of the Greater Lafayette Santa Express Tour. On Sunday, December 6, starting at 12 noon, Santa will board a Lafayette fire engine and follow the route via MapQuest (http://mapq.st/3lMMPkD) to visit the following neighborhoods and schools.
