The Celery Bog is a wetland and is listed as a "significant ecological site" by the Indiana Natural Heritage Program.
Lilly Nature Center in Celery Bog Nature Area contains approximately 185 acres of wetlands, adjacent woods and fields. It provides an excellent field trip destination where many interdisciplinary topics can be studied by groups of all ages. Riverside Skating Center offers a food/drink vending area, lockers, public restrooms and skate rentals and rink maintenance room. This outdoor rink is 70-feet by 120-feet and lighted for evening use. Available from late fall to spring for ice skating, and the rest of the year for festivals, special events and in-line roller skating.
